He talks about how history tends to repeat itself when it comes to these plays and then shows you his recycling shares technique which allows you to get your average price up to a level where you can comfortably hold for a bigger move while also mitigate risks but stopping out and cutting losses when necessary.
The live trading example where he demonstrates all of these concepts is on ticker symbol $NURO where he manages being down as much as $60,000 on the trade but eventually gets the right read on the direction and recovers all of that to become net positive on the trade about $30,000.
